Tag: This or That Tag!

Alice has been saying for the last few weeks that she wanted to do a tag and she has done snothing about it so I (Amie) decided to get the ball rolling with a this or that tag. Now I wanted to do a really cool tag for you today therefore I googled a few as you do and found this one on a website. I actually have never watched one of these but I do know that Meredith Foster and a few other youtubers have done this so I thought why not! So lets get to it....

Questions;
-Blush or Bronzer
Amie: Blush, I am very pale therefore I can't get bronzers that are pale enough and they just make me look silly.
Beth: Blush! Similar reason to Amie however she is a bit paler than me, I'm still scared of using bronzer haha.

-Lip gloss or Lipstick
Amie: This is a harder one but I think I'm going to go lipstick as I think it is more wearable with different make-up looks, although I do like the moisture that lip gloss brings.
Beth: I use lipgloss much more so probably lip gloss, I do still love wearing lipstick though.

-Eye liner or Mascara
Amie: I've never been one for Eye-liner and I don't think you can have eye-liner without mascara which is why my vote goes to Mascara.
Beth: Mascara, I can't wear make-up without applying mascara.

-Foundation or Concealer
Amie: Foundation
Beth: Foundation

-Neutral or Color eye shadow
Amie: I am all for the natural Neutrals
Beth: Neutral- I love my MUA heaven and earth Pallette.

-Pressed or Loose eye shadows
Amie: Pressed
Beth: Pressed- just tidier isn't it.

-Brushes or Sponges
Amie: Brushes, I've never really used sponges, are they any good?
Beth: Brushes however I've never actually used a sponge.

Nails:
-OPI or china glaze
Amie: I have never had a China Glaze nail polish and I have never heard of it either so I have to say OPI really.
Beth: I've never actually used any as I'm more of a Barry M girl but I think I might go for China Glaze!

-Long or short
Amie: Long, I wish
Beth: Long!

-Acrylic or natural
Amie: There are only certain acrylic looks that I actually like (I'm not a fan of claws) so I am going to say Natural!
Beth: Natural as I love painting just my natural nails.

-Brights or Darks
Amie: The girls will know I always wear bright!
Beth: I do love bright colours but in terms of clothes it's darks.

-Flower or no flower
Amie: Flower
Beth: Flower power!

Body:
-Perfume or Body Splash
Amie: I am assuming by Body Splash it means Body Spray/Mist but to be on the safe side Perfume it is.
Beth: I use both (not at the same time) but I do wear body mists on a more regular basis over perfume.

-Lotion or Body Butter
Amie: Easy, body butter.
Beth: Lotion.

-Body Wash or Soap
Amie: Body Wash I think, I love all the different and unique smells.

Amie: Dresses
Beth: Skirts because I love to mix and match outfits. I do still like my dresses though!

Stripes or plaid
Amie: Stripes, add that pattern to your outfit.
Beth: I don't tend to wear anything with that print but I think I prefer plaid as I like a checked shirt.

-Flip Flops or Sandals
Amie: Sandals, I've never been one for toe posts.
Beth: Sandals however if we're talking for when you've just got out of the pool on holidays then flips flops because I'm too lazy to fasten them up.

-Scarves or hats
Amie: Scarves because these can be used as accessories as well as to keep you warm in winter.
Beth: Scarves!

-Studs or Dangly Earrings
Amie: I do not have my ears pierced so I can not answer this one.
Beth: Studs, I don't actually own any dangly earrings!

-Necklaces or bracelets
Amie; Although I do not wear a lot of jewelry I am going to say necklaces as if I do end up wearing a piece of jewelry then it is a necklace rather than a bracelet.
Beth: This is so hard! In the past I would have said no doubt bracelets but I'm starting to get into statement necklaces quite recently.

-heels or flats
Amie: Flats - Im all for the comfort!
Beth: Flats- however I do like feeling taller sometimes.

-Cowboy boots or Riding boots
Amie: One thing I've always wanted to do was learn how to ride however the boots I have are more like Riding Boots, so I am going to say those.
Beth: I don't think I own any but I'm going to say cowboy boots.

-Jacket or Hoodie
Amie: Jacket.
Beth: Jacket.

-Abercombie or Hollister
Amie: Hollister, although the clothes are a bit too summery for british weather.
Beth: Hollister for definite. Absolutely adore their summer dresses!

Some questions have been removed due to them being American and not having those brands/shops in the UK.

Amie: Ponytail.
Beth: Ponytail

-bobby pins or butterfly clips
Amie: bobby pins!
Beth: Bobby Pins

-hair spray or gel
Amie: Hair Spray is such a handy gadget.
Beth: Maybe hair spray but I think gel is much stronger for when I'm putting my hair in a tight bun.

-long or short
Amie: Long, although I did have short hair at one point a few years ago so it is not a no go.
Beth: Long.

-light or dark
Amie: Definitely light, my hair is very blonde indeed.
Beth: Light- my hair going darker though and I don't like it 😓

-side sweep bangs or full bangs
Amie: I have the full sha-bang.
Beth: All or nothing!

-Up or down
Amie: Mostly I wear my hair down but I do wear it up sometimes.
Beth: Up but I wished I got out of the habit of putting it up so much.

Books: PS I Love you by Cecelia Ahern

I actually got borrowed PS I Love you from my friend Holly, quick shoutout to Hol there but anyway Cecilia Ahern has also written the book Love Rosie. Now I really enjoyed this book as it is all in message/email form and that is very creative and original, I love it! But this book is also great, although not written in that kind of format.

The book is about a woman called Holly (name match with my friend) whose husband Gerry dies. He dies quite sadly of a brain tumor after being misdiagnosed by his doctor which is very upsetting to read. However Holly struggles to get over his death and therefore needs the help of Gerry himself. Despite his death he has left Holly with letters, letters that will help her get over him and also bring back memories. It sounds very deep but don't worry it is not so bad.

My favorite part of the book is the middle. Although if I were to change one thing it would be the ending. If you like romance in books then this is definitely the book for you, but again don't worry it isn't very graphic nor goes into any of 'that' stuff if you know what I mean. For me I do not like who Holly ends up with, and I'm not going to say any more on the matter as I do not want to spoil the ending.

Just a warning, Alice and another friend of ours actually started reading this book as well but got bored quite quickly, however Alice persevered and decided to keep on reading. I agree with her in saying that the book really only gets interesting and 'into it' after the first 70 or so pages. Now that seems a lot but I think you should give it a read.

This is not one of my favourite books but it is far from my least! I would recommend it if you like life books and stories that can be relate able to real life and not all fantasy.

15 of Beth's Favourite Feelings

Recently I saw a video by Essie Button which was actually Hank Greens idea and I thought it would be  something  different  for me to do on the Blog! Here goes!

1: Number one is doing well or better than you thought in an exam you didn't revise for. I know you should revise but sometimes it just takes too much effort. Anyways it feels so good when you do well in exam which you took no time preparing for and do better than others. Makes me fell so smug.

2: Finding old things. Whether it's toys, clothes, schoolwork I absolutely love looking through everything and seeing what my young self spent ages occupying myself with. For example I found a little diary and I was so sassy! And my DSi- not going to lie I spent a good half hour on it. Nintendoes are my fave!

3: Taking your bra off- All girls/women know how good it feels at the end of the day.

4: When I finish a book I feel so clever and like I've gained so much knowledge. I love the feeling of starting a new book as well and knowing your going to be taken in by something as simple as a book.

5: Completing a good stretch/workout. Once it's been completed I feel so much better about myself
and I know that in that day I have achieved something even if it is just a bit of progress it means my day hasn't been totally wasted.

6: Bones cracking! Dancers understand how good it feels. The hips especially, damn it feels good!

7: When it gets to the end of the school day and you've got no homework to do or anything to get completed and you know you've got the rest of your day having complete free time doing whatever you want.

8: Just giving people a quick smile or grin in the streets when you have no idea who they are. I don't know why but I feel like I've just made a friend even though I know that I'll never see them again.

9: Slightly similar to the other one and that is giving a compliment to someone you wouldn't usually talk to. Or something I've done just a couple of times is writing in maths text books just something like 'You're Amazing' 'You're Beautiful' I'm not encouraging this but just imagine being in a boring maths class and turning the page and seeing a little message.

10: When you go out shopping and buy a complete new outfit which makes you feel very good about yourself.

11: I'm pretty sure everyone loves it at a restaurant when you're absolutely starving and you can see all the food coming towards you.

12: Dancing

13: So it's getting close to the summer holidays now, meaning holiday clothes shopping is due. There's nothing I love more than holiday shopping it just gets me in such a good mood!

14: Having the time to have a super long shower and just being able to stand under the shower-Just love my shower time 😂

15: Finally is just being laid in bed in the dark with my earphone in, eyes shut and listening to music. I'm a massive fan of Isaac Waddingtons songs and they make me so chilled and relaxed before I go to sleep.

So they are all my favourite feelings! What are yours?

My Life Shuffle Song Tag: Alice

So I was watching some youtube today as I do most days and I came across a lovely youtuber called Noa. You guys should really go and watch her videos she is so good and funny. Well she did a tag that I want to try. It is basically a bunch of statements or questions if you please, that you answer by shuffling your music library and whatever song you get is the answer. You following? I have to admit because me, my sister, my mum and my dad all share the same account I had to create a playlist of all the songs I have ever listened to so we have V V Brown to One Direction! Without further ado lets get crack a lacking.
1. The song that describes how you will die:
One Directions 'Rock Me'. I love this song it reminds me of ABBA's 'We Will Rock You' at the beginning and I guess I will die by a big rock falling on top of me judging by this song.....
2. The song that describes your love life:
Disney's 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight' this is actually my favourite Lion King song see it would have been 'Circle Of Life' but I had to dance and sing to that song once for a finale and I have sung it just too many times.
3. This song will play at your wedding:
Rudimental's 'Waiting All Night' I don't even think I can comment on this considering I have 'How Long Will I Love You?' by Ellie Golding in there!
4. Add 'in my pants' at the end of this song:
I got 'Move' by Little Mix so Move in my pants! I have a song called Chocolate in my playlist so yeh could have been Chocolate in my pants!
5. This song will play at your funeral:
James Arthur's 'Your Nobody Till Somebody Loves You' I mean this in the nicest way possible I really can't stand James Arthur like at all....
6. Add 'with a shovel and screw driver' to the end of this song:
Ella Henderson's 'Ghost' so Ghost with a shovel and screw driver.
7. This song describes your week:
'The First Nowell' which is a Christmas song about when Jesus was born so I guess you could say my week was quite eventful.
8. This is your theme song:
Little Mix's 'Competition' this should be every woman's theme tune #girlpower!
9. The song you will play when you think of someone you love:
I can't even but 'Super Trouper' from the Mamma Mia soundtrack. 'Cause somewhere in the crowd is you..'
10. The song you will play when you miss someone:
This really proves how far back this playlist goes because I got 'Humuhumunukunukuapua's' from High School Musical 2 Soundtrack and I am not kidding that is literally spelt off of my Ipad.
Well that taught me a lot about myself, but mostly that I need to update my music...

Beauty: Montagne Jeunesse Hot Chocolate Face Mask

I mentioned that I would be starting to do face mask reviews as I've been starting to get into them lately so here is the first of hopefully many as I absolutely adore these face masks! This is the Hot Chocolate one which is self heating and claims to be pore cleansing. Onto the review!

Scent:
The scent is probably the best part of this product as it literally smells like chocolate orange. I am a massive fan of chocolate oranges so this to me is absolute perfection in a face mask. It is also a long lasting smell so even after quite a while of this being scrubbed off my face I could smell it which made me feel even better.

Application/ feel of the product:
I was actually quite surprised by the texture of this product as I was expecting it to be a bit more of clay type texture instead it was extremely runny! As you can probably imagine I thought I had just opened a big sachet of melted chocolate! This is all amazing apart from the slight disadvantage of the fact it could run down your face a bit if you apply it too thickly. As you don't though, you should be fine.

Result:
First of all I don't think I can say there's any long term results but I don't think I've ever had a long term effect from a face mask. Despite this my face felt very smooth when I took it off compared to what it did before and my pores did appear slightly smaller however I dint think they will stay like that after 1-2 uses of the the face mask.

Overall I really like this product and would probably repurchase it- mainly due to the whole melted chocolate theme going on.

Life: A Look Back On May With Beth

I'm going to say May has been a quiet and relaxed month compared to all the others so far! I don't think my mum and dad will agree though as we have been redoing the whole room by changing wallpaper, carpet, sofa, fireplace and other little details and it is now just about done. Got to say the best part of this was the emptyness of the room- dining room when the carpet had been fitted. I took this as the perfect opportunity to do some dancing!

This month also seems to have revolved around German learning for an assessment which I have not enjoyed one bit!

This month I've also got to see a few films which were Avengers, Cinderella and Pitch Perfect 2. All of which were absolutely amazing and would definitely buy on DVD. There's so many good films out lately I can barely keep up with them all!

In terms of books I finally finished 'The Book Thief' which I absolutely loved and is different to what I would normally read but I'm so glad Amie and Alice bought it for me. Along with this I managed to read Paper Aeroplanes which is good and a really good teenage read. You could say it is very detailed with certain parts but I loved it none the less. And so I have now started 'Me Before You' which I also got from Alice and Amie and I love so far!

And now I have a bit of a achievement and that is the fact I used all my lush bath products! I am very proud of myself right now! And I've started using face masks again so expect some reviews on them scattered around the blog in the future!

Nearer the end of the month I have done a bit of shopping and received a few things which I had ordered for dancing! You will see a haul soon on my summer clothes however I'm still in the process of buying things so it may be a while until you see that! For dancing however I have got the brightest onesie ever which is super comfy, a new leotard which I find very exciting a dazzling new hairpiece which I love!

So that is pretty much my May summed up! June is going to be another quiet month but quiet is good every so often right?

Movie/TV: Pitch Perfect (1 & 2)

Now Pitch Perfect 2 is out in Cinemas! I suggest that instead of reading this review you should
go straight to your nearest cinema and watch it right now! This movie is hilarious, cool, energetic; everything you want in a movie. One thing I do suggest is that you watch Pitch Perfect (1) before you see the next one as it will not make total sense to you all.

Pitch Perfect 1 tells the story of how Beca's dad basically forces her to go to Barden University, even though what she wants to do is go to LA and pay her "dues" as she put it. She is your typical bad-ass DJ and she is absolutely incredible at it! Her dad tells her that she has to put some effort into the school before he will let her do what she wants in LA as this would be a very expensive trip. So, due to her dads ultimatum she decides to join the Barden Bellas an acapella group that wants to get back to the Lincoln Center finals after an unfortunate but very disgusting event the year before. You join her on her journey through first year, where she meets Jesse and despite their growig relationship she keeps on pushing all the people who care about her away. Will she realise her mistake before its too late?

Pitch Perfect is amazing and I would completely recommend it to everyone.

I suggest that you do not continue reading this review as in number two you get some spoilers to the outcome of number 1. So STOP watch one and then come straight back for number 2........

After the success of the Bella they are suddenly back to basics as Fat Amy (played by Rebel Wilson) reveals her private parts infront of the president. As you can probably guess this is hilarious and quite disturbing actually :) The news go crazy about the incident and the Bellas are forced to leave the acapella world. Or are they? In order to be reinstated the Bellas have to win the world championships based in Germany. But the crowd is against them as they fall out of touch with each other, their sound and have to face of against the terrifyingly brilliant Das Soundmachine. Can they bond once again or will they be forced out of the Accapela world for good?

The Barden Bellas are given a new sleek look in this movie and I think it really shows how they have grown through there years at University and are becoming more individual and creating their own style. Anna Kendrick is one of my favourite actresses, she is an amazing singer and actress and plays Beca to perfection. Anna and Skylar Astin (Jesse) have good chemistry in the movie making the relationships very believable. Fat Amy is one of the stars of the movie (as usual) played by the fabulous Rebel Wilson who is a hilarious australian actress. Other actors include,  Brittany Snow, Elizabeth Banks, Hailee Steinfield, Anna Camp and many more!

Now the film is absolutely amazing. My favorite parts are the jokes in the movie and also the ending which I cannot tell you about as I do not want to ruin it! There is one improvement I would make and that is more Jesse and Becca moments as I ship them and therefore hope there are some deleted scenes of them together on the DVD. I am definitely going to be buying the DVD when it hits the shelves so don't miss out and watch it now!!

Here are the trailers for you to watch:
