Get Ready With Beth - Showtime

Before Showtime it's always nice to be very prepared so you're not just going on stage with no routine or preparation! I (Beth) am going to share with you my whole day before performing from waking up in the morning to dancing on stage. This is only for a dancing competition so is obviously going to be different to people performing in the west end!

1- First of all I woke up at 9:00 which is quite a good time not too early not too late! Always remember to get an early night if you have to wake up early in the morning. The last thing you want is to be falling asleep on stage!

2- Something that is very important is to not go onto the stage with an empty belly. I do know someone that didn't have anything to eat and I really don't know how they did it haha. Anyways always have something to eat a while before you get ready! In my case I had a good old pizza!

3- I may do this in a different order to other people but first of all I changed Into just some normal clothes and wash my face and all that exciting stuff. Mainly so I feel awake and all ready for the next stages and just more normal.

4- Now for my least favourite part and that is my hair! The majority of the time it goes up in a high and tight bun which isn't the comfiest both when it is getting done and actually in! I have to admit my Mum does do my hair for me, mainly because she does a pretty good job of doing it very tidy and I don't think my bun would stay in too long if I did it!

5- This part is probably my favourite part and that is the makeup. It varies between brown and blue eyeshadow but today it was Blue so I went ahead and did all my make up. I love doing stage makeup as it when you can do the eyes all bright and bold gist and out on the stage!

6- After some chilling out it is then time for me to set off!

7- As soon as I get to the theatre I'll go straight to the changing room and get all my outfits up on the rails and sorted out nice and neatly!

8- Now it's time for a bit of a warm up which generally means I go out in the corridor and do some basic stretches. This normally consists of some lunges, kicks and splits. Nothing too strenuous!

9- Now forgetting changed into the outfit. Nothing much to say really is there?!

10- So then it's time to get on stage and do my dance!

So that is all I do in preparation to getting on stage and dancing!
Do you have any more tips or ideas together prepared to perform. Do you do anything differently? Let us know!
