Sims: Review - Seasons

Sims 3 Seasons! It pretty much gives what the title suggests - Seasons. Pretty self explanatory really with no surprises.

The Seasons are Fall, Summer, Winter and Spring. Fall being the English Autumn. Winter brings the new option for your sims to have an Outer Wear in order for them not to die of being too cold! This is a great feature and there is some great pieces available to download from the Sims 3 Store.  Each seasons brings a specific holiday. These are similar to Christmas and Halloween e.t.c. Your sims do not have to go to work nor do the children have to go to school and because of this they get a moodlet specific to that particular holiday. These include Leisure Day, Spooky Day, Snow Day and Love Day.

Leisure Day is your typical summer holiday however on Spooky Day your sims can dress up and go trick-or-treating which is pretty much your Halloween is Sims Life. Snow Day is representative of Christmas which leads me to tell you about the new party options.

These include Costume Party's on Spooky Day when all sims come to your house or venue in fancy dress - a great social event when the weather is getting colder. Snow Day also comes with its own party and that is a Gift Giving Party. For this all you need to space enough for a circle with presents and your guests give you presents. This is a great way to earn money as you can sell them however sometimes Sims are disappointed by the gift they are given.

Each new season all brings a different Festival into town! You sims can skate, have their face painted and enjoy new food options from the Food Stalls. Each season brings a different theme. For example in Spring, love is in the air. The festival is very romance themed with kissing booths and love tests for you sims to take part in. Another cool feature is the Eating Contests. There is a risk however as sims can actually die when taking part (this may have been fixed by EA but I (Amie) am not sure)! Better not to risk it I think!

Finally I previously mentioned weather. This was a big deal for Simmers when Seasons first came out! Before sims were just stuck in a continuous never-ending Summer however now weather can change dramatically. Summer brings sun whereas Winter brings snow. This new whether brings new ways of dying! For example, being struck by lightning. That said will you be adding Seasons to you collection??

I think it is a great expansion pack! Due to the Black Friday rush I got an early Chirstmas Present of Generations EP however I am not allowed to download it until Christmas. The suspense is killing me!!
